The Joke Project confronts the viewer with a swirling schizobabble of
identites and human expression. A closer look reveals hundreds of mock
identity forms filled out with personal details, wity slogans, real and
faked pseudo ID photographs, silly comments, frivolous graffti.
It's a fascinating mass of superficial individual expression. For the
individuals who have contributed to this networking art project.
It's Andy Warhole's promised 15 minutes of fame.

The project is an evolutionary process. It began in 1984 and scince
exhibited in Japan, UK-stonehenge, USA, the loose framework of a
jokers ID card invite individuals to participate, though all forms of
expression are welcome. An ID card embodies the notion of an im-
personal State attempting to catalogue humans as mere numbers,
stifling and dehumanising creative expression. One's identity is not
recognised without an official card, or passport. The explosion of
personal expression presented in The Joke Project subverts this con-
cept. The result is a piece of anti-elitist art, a pop art meets the Inter-
net, which celebrates the individual whilst thumbing a noise at the
establishment.
